So, I was wondering how plausible it would be for someone to attend both this and the International event? Is there value to line up dates now? With a travel day between? Or, will non-Norwegian speakers be lost at JoomlaPulse?

This International Event makes me kind of upset. They posted their event after ours it seems, completely disregarding our scheduled dates. They are also getting a featured listing here on this site, and ultimately this will force us to change the dates for our event I fear. How does one get an event featured?

Maybe we should rename JoomlaPulse to "Galaxial Joomla Event" to try to get more exposure?

Non-Norwegian speaking people will not be lost at JoomlaPulse. Nooku FW presentations for instance will be English only. We originally wanted to attract a Scandinavian audience, and Scandinavians have no problems with English. People from outside Scandinavia are welcome too of course.

Oh! Torkil, I did not realize there was a problem or that this was planned as an international event. I had obviously and incorrectly thought that this was coordinated. Which is why I expressed surprise at the dates. Hm. Thinking.

BTW - you must know I didn't mean to insult Scandinavians or suggest a situation like mine where I only speak one language, and that one not so goodly. I had incorrectly thought this was a more local event and then would of course be in the primary language of participants. I apologize if my comments sounded rude or disrespectful.

Haha, insult Scandinavians? You're so funny :D

No seriously. Being a local, regional, national or international event does not matter. When two events relatively close to one another crash like this, we are forced to change our schedule or try to cannibalize eachother.

Yes. It gets back to the reason we need to keep working on better communication. Thanks, Torkil.
