ATAAW Logo Design Contest
Hi All
In preparation for the launch of the "New" ATAAW site, we are announcing a Logo Design Contest for the new site. There is no shortage of creative talent among all of Us so lets see what our talented pool of members can deliver.
We've never had a logo here before so you have complete freedom to let those creative juices flow and show off your talent. The words All Together, As A Whole must form part of the logo. It's important for the comma to be present after the word Together.
Keep the basics in mind, Your submission should ;

- Articulate the essence of All Together, As A Whole
- Be Memorable
- Look good in all applications and environments ( color, greyscale, web, print etc ... )
Prizes:
- Recognition as the creator of the First and Official logo of ATAAW, how cool is that !

Just a few things I would suggest here:
Make sure your logo can be seen in grayscale as well as color.
I'm fairly certain we want it to read the words
All Together As A Whole
Not just the acronym ATAAW if you can.
We don't have a color choice as of yet, but one or all of the 4 colors of Joomla would be appropriate since we are an Independent Joomla Developers and Website Builders Network.

Hello everybody,
before trying to sketch some concepts and ideas for the logo i have few points :
"The words All Together, As A Whole must form part of the logo", wow, that's a pretty damn long logo isn't it? Dont you think that despite being a really nice name for this site, it's a little bit too long, and may get hard to grasp and remember for non-english people?
In this direction I've also personally experimented some weird things happening from non english (but also form english) speaking people about the name. While speaking about ataaw, the name was in fact easily misunderstood resuling in:
All together as a hole, or even worst, All together with a whore. While these could be perfect xxx movie titles i am not so sure about our community. (Please keep in mind that there is no offense or any bad intent in my words at all, I'm just reporting how easily this name can end up in something let's say a little bit different ;-)
what do you think?

Actually Nick, this very topic was discussed by the admins here as well... and there have been reports of some even worse names being twisted from our name...
We really don't care what jealous people say about us... that just means we are doing our job if they are talking about us at all.
I don't think you will get Amy to budge off the name though... I tried.
