Please follow the rules Sir. Only commercial extensions may be promoted here.

I call upon Ms. Stephen to remove this post and ban this user, for he is giving away his extension for free, an obvious indication that he is a Socialist. Remove him quick, lest he infect us all !!!!!

I would recommend that @amy create a category for people who'd want to brag about their projects. That way we haven't supressed anything but contained those type of discussions in one corner. It would be by the community member's choice whether to participate in those discussions or to ignore them.

Right now, it's all open and I am intentionally not setting rules to see where folks want to head with this. So, one could open a discussion about their work. People can ignore it if they wish. Or, people could post on their profile pages all about who they are and what they do. In addition, there are a number of groups set up. Those are also open to see where people head.

What are you thinking, Rastin? A specific group? Or forum area? I'm open. Just let me know and we'll try it!

I don't want this to be a platform for personal back-patting, especially for commercial projects. I probably already have read it on your blog, twitter, facebook, or wherever, and if this place is to be worthwhile I think it should either ban posting about a clubs new template, a shops new extension, or other commercial projects that are basically advertisements. You can talk about it when it applies, but lets not post topics or blog posts dedicated to solely to promotion.

We are developers rather than potential clients, and if this turned into an ad agency I would leave. Even for non-commercial projects, its just not appropriate to advertise it here, in my opinion. If you need help testing or something, sure then it makes sense to bring it up, because the focus is not on promotion. Should there be a small recess of the site dedicated to such deeds, so be it, but I don't see it as productive.
