We are getting a bit more Member spam and I'd like to see if moderating memberships is a preferred approach. Anyone can join, but I do want to know that people have identified themselves. Typically, I do a quick Google search on new members to make certain they are known persons with some Joomla! involvement. Saves us all some of the silly crud that comes in.

As always, please speak up if you disagree or have other ideas!
