Not at all what I am saying. I don't want to talk about the TM, Brian. I don't want to name the site in a way that it's within that boundary. Using the name All Together, As A Whole and *talking* about Joomla! is within fair use. We know who we are - we don't need to use the TM'd name in the site title.
As for "turning the keys over" - on *numerous* occasions I have offered you administrator authority and have called for a group interested in helping guide the group to step forward.
I'm waiting to see what comes of the OSM board, and then push for a group to manage this site. (I don't want folks to have to step down if they are asked to serve on the board.)
Might I activate your administrator access? :)
The expense has been nominal - handful of dollars a month for the domain name is all. That's not been a problem. Thanks for your feedback. Hope that clears it up.
OK. I'll give you that. I'm so sick of the topic I under-explained and it does look confusing.
BUT - after the OSM Board is selected, please help organize a group to oversee the site. It's important. This is a nice resource for us and it's good to keep it moving forward. Too much for me, to be honest.
Amy, I must admit that I completely understand what appears to be you "giving up" due to exhaustion.
I feel the same about Joomla insofar as this type of hierarchical control be it well intentioned or not discourages community.
This is not open anymore. Trademark issues are indicative of many of the problems with the Joomla project and its hierachy.
It started going off the rails the moment it shifted away from the key contributor and visionary being the leader.
I'm with Jo Snow here.

One or two admins aren't necessarily a bad thing - IF they work to develop a site instead working against it's members. Somebody has to delete spamers add features or change colors from time to time..but that's about it.
I'm not giving up! I just don't want to use the name Joomla! in the site name or site description. Simple as that. Personally, I don't want to waste another minute talking about the Joomla! freaking TM. Doing so is as intelligent as arguing with a two-year old. I'd encourage community to use it - I think it'd help build the brand - but I'm no International TM expert, what do I know? Nuf said. :-P
Looking for more than system admins (although certainly that's part of it). That's minor.
We are professional developers and site builders. What should the network do for participants? I'd like to see a team drive those discussions and see what we might do to help build up the ecosystem and success. (For example, we have a discussion on "What are Joomla!'s strengths? that should include professional developers and site builders as a response. Getting the word out helps all of us.)
Talking about those topics here *does* make sense and we are free to support one another. That's the type of leadership I hope people are interested in helping develop. We should focus on those helpful topics.
