Amy, excellent and thorough one, thanks!

I did an overview for NetBeans and linked it from the main page of http://docs.joomla.org/Setting_up_your_workstation_for_Joomla!_deve.... I edited the introduction part so that it would be easier to add other IDEs, as others come along and add their documentations.

A suggestion: you might want to link the wiki and this page from that document or maybe part 2, so that it would be easier to find and also refer to new members
