Joomla! Community Magazine Relaunch Status.....
Now that we are getting towards the end of the year (decade), it looks like most everything is coming "together" for the Relaunch of the Joomla! Community Magazine.
Fotis and his designer Chiara Aliotta already have the 2nd version of the mockup for the Magazine
Paul Orwig is diligently gathering what he needs for the production of the first issue.
Considering the end of the year is only 2 weeks away, if we are going to launch the magazine on 1/1/2010, we all have our work cut out for us!
Let's use this Discussion to start tracking what needs to be done for that relaunch, and also evaluating the target release date.
If you have any matters/issues regarding the Relaunch of the Magazine, please add them to this Discussion.

In a previous post here today I suggested that we continue discussions about the content areas of the magazine in the existing Format? magazine discussion here on this site. However, since an official Joomla! forum has now been set up for us, I think those discussions should take place over there.
I have started a Content Structure thread on our new Joomla! forum. Please join that discussion and help hammer out what our magazine's content structure should be! -

That's a great idea thanks Brian! Some of that will be easier to assemble than others. I'll try to start chipping away at that, everybody else is invited to help with that as well.

I ran onto the Joomla! Community Twitter account http://twitter.com/comm_joomla that has sat unused since July 2009, probably do to lack of anything like a magazine to "tout"! Maybe once the Magazine is back in production, we could use that account for the Communities benefit, instead of it being a "dead" thing!
What other avenues other than the Joomla.org will be considered places that we can "get the word" out about the Magazine?
I'm a member of several Joomla! oriented groups on FB, so I'd be happy to pass on the info, once the magazine is running! -

@ Mark - My recollection is that there is a Joomla social media group which requested that the Community Twitter account be shut down, and instead have everything be sent from the main Joomla twitter account.
Tweets are supposed to go out from the main Twitter account whenever anything new is posted to the Community site. For example when the first magazine issue is published a tweet will go out if we make a blog announcement about it on the Community site.
I think this would be a good subject for a new "Getting the word out" type thread to start on the Joomla forum if you want. -
