Hi,

We've run into a little problem in Joomla 1.6, maybe someone can help.  We are trying to display a summary page that shows the content of a category, including sub-categories and a list of articles under each subcategory.

Example:

Page: University (Category)

Content:

101 (sub-category):

          - 1st article in 101

          - 2nd article in 101

          - 3rd article in 101

201 (sub-category):

  - 1st article in 201

  - 2nd article in 201

We've tried with different menu item types: Content Category List, Content Category Blog, to no avail.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Thanks

I would use the Content Category List and set the right level of Subcategory Levels in the Category Options.

Hi Tom,

Yes, we've tried that to no avail. The actual articles under the subcategory don't count as a level. So they don't appear.

For now we're building our own custom component. But it seems like it shouldn't be this hard to do.

Hi Fernando,

You're right, it doesn't work, I tried it myself now. Only the articles of  first level category are shown. This looks like a bug or a weird flaw in the new menu manager.
