I'm down to assist. So far I haven't seen a ton of changes in templates for 1.6 in the alpha & alpha2 beyond some css class name changes. I'm sure they'll be more changes to come.
I'd propose the "guide teams" work together so the docs are cohesive.
Yes, good point, I'm envisioning Tony and Chris will help keep the User Guides together. Having separate groups might help those working together focus discussions.
Jacob and Kyle - I created a group for the Joomla! 1.6 Template Guide. Thanks for your willingness to help with this.
Please, others, join in if you will. Tony is leading this documentation effort - and I seriously believe if we all help out a bit, the structure is in place for us to have these guides ready for launch. And, to me, that's worth a bit of investment. So, Tony will post in there with instructions. Thanks to those willing to help.
Then, join the Joomla! 1.6 Template Group and start talking outline with the others. What are the basic topics needed for a good Template guide? (At least, beginning ideas.)
I'm new to this group. I wonder what are available about Joomla! 1.6 template guide. I've looked at Tony's draft manual at http://docs.joomla.org/M16_Manual. It is great. But the part about templates there still has not had much. Can someone please point me to somewhere that has more information about 1.6 templates or any differences from 1.5 templates? I'll be happy to make some contribution to the manual.
Very good idea! I hope to find volunteers! I still find opportunities templates for Joomla 1.5. In commercial templates really good solutions using PHP and CSS combinations. So I did not find any complete guide to templates. Well, there setsialisti who share their experiences in their blogs.
The whole idea of this site is great! I congratulate you for this site!
