I think it's simple, Sections shouldn't be migrated in the first place. Just keep the categories since the sections won't be used. If you keep the categories, all menus, modules, articles won't be affected. The id is there, the…

I guess we will create section and categories using nested categories.. but we can decide better in group. I have thinking in start the structure/workflow something to explain "how work".

Sections have unique id, so does the Categories. A section and a category might share the same id which isn't a problem since the're in different tables.I was thinking today, we know that Sections are going to disappear in J1.6 and there'll be nested categories ... during migration, current sections will be moved to the categories table in the database (or I think it will) The question is; how are we going to solve the duplicate id issue?Will section be added to the table with new id?
