Please share a bit about your Joomla! Experience and yourself. The more information you provide the quicker we will be able to process your membership.
I've been a member of the Joomla! community since November 2005. When I found Joomla!, I was shocked that anyone would give it away for free, so, I downloaded everything I could find and waited for the day people came to their sense!

I also started answering questions and getting to know people. Before you know it, several years past and I had worked on the Bug Squad and Communications Team, and started developing, and left my full time job to pursue life as a free software developer. W00t!

Latin American Joomla: Joomleiro, Juuntos and Jokte

I wanted to share a quick post on community initiatives in Latin America. You might have noticed tweets from folks in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and other Latin American countries and wondered what's going on. While some of the discussion has related to difficulties with the Joomla trademark, the more important message is that community is strengthening and more active in that region. That's good to see and deserving of our support.

My 50th Birthday Wishes for the Joomla Community

Today's my 50th Birthday and I want to say a few things.

For whatever reasons, I love the Joomla community. That love has grown since November 2005 when I first joined the Joomla forum and discovered free software. As a professional developer since 19 years of age, I thought folks were crazy for sharing their work freely and I downloaded everything I could find before they came to their senses. What can I say? I've grown a bit since that time. ;-)

Since it…

Thank you very much - I did not see the 'x' for deletion.
Monica's picture was perhaps a clue that the primary motive had less to do with Joomla...

Cheers - and thanks for a great site!

Hello Amy.

Thank you for your message, but we would like to know what blog posts have you meant? We didn't post any "blog posts" and the only place where we publish our articles is a group "Members Announcements". Is there any misunderstanding?

Thanks Amy for creating this great community website for Joomla developers and site builders . I haven't had time to learn much on your site but I can see that It is a big , great community .

Later , I want to learn more about community work and hope I can contribute some time to Joomla like fixing issues on bugs trackers... Still don't know how and what to do yet because I usually work alone , but I will learn and see what I can do :) .

Thanks again .
