All Together As A Whole Mission Statement

The concept of the statement is precisely to protect the minority from majorities

They might call it an open source project but they used their own definition of that. Mistake 1 - don't think you are better than everyone else, if its good enough for everyone else there is a very good reason.

Reading all of this it reminds me exactly why we created Joomla and put the infrastructure in place in the way that we did. The way that SMF created an LLC etc with no true governance and no failsafe mechanisms is the opposite of everything we worke…

speaking as a non-developer one of the biggest problems with the reviews on JED is that many times the negative reviews refer to a feature (or bug) that is not present in the current release. Some developers are good at answering reviews and point…

Who is the Joker in the Joomla Pack? http://ning.it/aoEF4J

There is a good article here http://www.webaim.org/techniques/css/invisiblecontent/ Only problem could be that screen readers will typicaly default to saying "image filename.jpg" when there is no ALT unless they are background images

Does the image convey meaning or is it just decoration? Descriptive tags are only required for the former and not the latter. Don't be fooled by the automatic validators

Drop down menus suck!

The other day I was conducting a review of a new web site and came across my favourite usability failure.
Drop Down menus suck!!

Not the whole menu of course just the bad habit of site builders who add functionality to the top level link.

BTW, thanks for all you do helping people connect to the project and stay encouraged and involved. I really appreciate that, Brian. It's your baby and it's nice to see you helping it grow.
