Technically you could create a mobile theme, I'm working on one for my company now and its easy - unless your using SOBI or Virtual Mart. Once your theme is built, pick up one of the auto detect plugins(I'm using mobilenbot) and your done.…

But when developing sites I need to develop for IE7 due to clients and their clients being a 100% PC environment. I refuse to develop for IE6.

I think your going to see more this type of talk as open source continues to rise in popularity...it's more popular than ever, and because people want more out of it - and sometimes expect more unfairly.
