Hi Amy, sorry, didn't see your reply until now. Nice to see you again too =). After some talking, it looks like supporting both Git and Mercurial would be the most desirable thing; put simply, Mercurial is a very friendly introduction to DVCSs…

If you are really interested in helping bring in git, I recommend starting with the J!UX effort. We have already talked about wanting to do this, just need someone to spearhead it. (BTW - nice to see you again!)

Wow... that is highly alienating IMHO, even if its the truth, that is no way of expressing it.

David Vega commented on Ivo Apostolov's blog post 'Should there be a black list of Joomla! service providers?'
And this is why I always remind myself: Best things of life are free. I'd find the need of a black list if and only if it was directed to solution providers that do blatant scams, if not, the list would be perhaps subjective, prone to…

Guys, I have been working on a wiki entry regarding this and would really appreciate some feedback in the main discussion (or this one if you want). Here is the wiki entry: http://docs.joomla.org/Rfc I left some questions open in my last post at…

@Opa Yes of course, but thank Ning for their thoughtfulness of cornering us to only have that option. But, not everything is lost!, we can actually do something with the saved pages. Here is a solution: - We can make a cute crawler in PHP that…

@Amy Peer moderation is a wonderful idea. It is what makes communities like slashdot and Stack Overflow (and its derivatives) tick. Communities like this shouldn't need nannies. @Robert & Opa I just remembered, we can use Teleport…

I think this is really important. Is this possible with Ning?, does it provide the tools? or does it need to be done by hand?.

David Vega commented on Jo Snow's blog post 'Should Joomla! 1.5 be upgraded for Mootools 1.2?'
I was desperate to have Mootools 1.2 into Joomla since a while ago, then Ian released the plugin and solved a lot of hacks I have to make. I certainly hope that MT 1.2 makes it into J! as soon as 1.5.16

@Amy I love the idea of "bleeding edge", makes me do this evil grin you see. I really like the idea of having everyone contribute in a professional way and not just with content. This would be an awesome showcase for…

Something I've come to realize is that social networks don't depend on the software: au contraire. Look how facebook started, look how twitter started, look what they've both become (in terms of software additions). I'd…
