AMP is truly slower on windows - put linux on pc and it will fly. But dpends on your work I guess - in my workflow it is still close to irrelevant.  On the other hand slow IDE does bother me, especially when Eclipse totally freezes for 20…

Eclipse / Netbeans being slow as s*** has nothing to do with PC. They are both slow as they run on Java - unless you have a  fast machine with a lot of ram (ram is the key here).   P.S. does anyone know a good IDE written in C++ ?

One important trick:  to make sure next  jimport or Jloader::register won't overwrite your changed class path and since class will get loaded from a wrong file, you need to force loading of your chaged class with JLoader::load

Introducing Forkito ACL - a project that aims to deliver simplified and logical ACl trough reusable library compatible with all main Joomla based projects and will come in 3 flavors:

  • Joomla fork flavor (working - proof of concept)
  • Nooku flavor (in progress)
  • Molajo flavor (postponed)

Simple gallery recomendations?

I'm looking for simple image gallery component that would have the following:

  1. categories/galleries with thumbnails
  2. large images open is lightbox/slimbox or similar
  3. an ability to resize images (large and thumbnails)
  4. can upload multiple files

  5. minimal & clean look
  6. no noticeable bugs
  7. no frontend uploading/editing/comments/rating/descriptions/crap/crap/crap (...ok..at least option to turn it off)

  8. no spam…
