Whichever Joomla social extension is chosen, I'd be glad to donate a free custom design and template from the JoomlaPraise team

Kyle Ledbetter commented on Victor Drover's blog post 'Can users demand a refund for a service?'
It's always surprising to me that often when someone is confused or mistaken, they jump to the conclusion that the service provider is a liar or trying to rob them. Maybe it's bc we're in the service industry, but I always assume that…

So it will basically be an aggregate of the best blog posts about Joomla right? I'm all about getting our message and tips out to others and also discovering new sources. What's wrong w/that?

I think the Joomla community really needs something like this. Nice designs and nice idea. The logo will work well for an iPhone app icon as well (hint hint) ;)

I agree!!!! Joomla will really have an advantage then!!! As many template designers and developers there are in the Joomla sphere, I was shocked to see that there wasn't a template community. TemplateWorks has some nice ones!!! Lanesa Stubbs

I'm down to assist. So far I haven't seen a ton of changes in templates for 1.6 in the alpha & alpha2 beyond some css class name changes. I'm sure they'll be more changes to come. I'd propose the "guide teams"…

Kyle Ledbetter replied to Kyle Ledbetter's discussion 'Template devs should sponsor Extension devs' in the group Templates
The end user would perhaps be the one who gains the most here :) One of the biggest gripes with Joomla is that when you install a bunch of 3rd party extensions, the User Interface and usability goes down bc everything looks totally different like…

Kyle Ledbetter replied to Kyle Ledbetter's discussion 'Template devs should sponsor Extension devs' in the group Templates
The first benefit for template devs like us would be that we don't have to do a ton of work to make a component we feature in one of our templates look good. For extension devs the benefit is obvious. Beyond that, depending on the…

David Hurley replied to Kyle Ledbetter's discussion 'Template devs should sponsor Extension devs' in the group Templates
Often it's quite frustrating that the enormous amount of time and effort that is spent in coding an extension with top-notch beautiful code is so quickly ignored if the design is not immediately appealing. As a primary developer I'm often…

Well if for some reason the project doesn't fly with the OSM, I would be more than happy to donate the tools and time to set up a directory for you on whatever site you build to house this using Sobi2!

Hi Robert, I'll be sure to include this option with my proposal. A JTD is in such need that I'm really looking for that path of least resistance with the OSM here, whichever solution that me be. The only reason I suggesting copying the…

Hey Kyle, You might take a look at Sobi2 for a directory. It has custom fields, and a download plugin as well as a rating and review plugin. There is also a template already made to look like the JED, so we could easily tweak it to fit. Plus Sobi2…

Kyle - thanks for participating. I hope you are able to share some insight into the Joomla! Administrator Template and User Interface ideas. There is so much that can be done in that area and you are leading the way for us. Lots we can learn from you - thanks, again, for joining in!
