Michael Babker commented on JOKR Solutions's blog post 'Some thoughts about Transifex and Open Translators'
I think you're right, there should be some sort of quality control for the translations.  Developers should be performing a quality control check on their code pre-release to make sure everything works as intended.  There should be a…

Personally, I think this is one of the best things I've seen happen in the year and a half I've been using Joomla!, patching the CMS, and developing my own extensions.  It's teams like this that keep me coming back with new and…

Cracked open my checkbook and dropped a check in the mail, he should get it in a couple weeks... LOL   In all seriousness though, I chipped in (via the internet), and hope others will follow.

22468 is the first step of my second item.  Instead of committing as part of a larger patch this time and having that work reverted, I figure to do this in phases to test and make sure everything works right is the better approach. I'll…

Two things to add to this that aren't necessarily RC blockers but definitely items that need some work either to restore 1.5 functionality or to work correctly with the ACL: - [#21225] Copy and Move missing from each Manager - I'm using…

Michael Babker commented on ssnobben's blog post 'Make a Joomla "Drupal" model work?'
Some people think that a minimal core distribution for Joomla! is the right way to go, and let the end user choose what they want on their site with extensions (either third party or core developed). Some people think that there should be a Joomla!…

JCM turned it down because I've published this blog twice, preferring original content. Makes sense. I shall keep that in mind as I prepare to re-design the site ;-)

Michael Babker commented on ssnobben's blog post 'Why do Joomla need (sections)/categories?'
Sections/Categories are a method to organize the types of content, whereas menus are simply the links to the various types of content. It's entirely possible to make a menu point to a category (which would link to individual articles) without…

My Start on Joomla (and a site showcase)

So I decided tonight that I'd write out a short blog talking about how I got my start with Joomla and what drove me to work with the Joomla Bug Squad.
