I need help getting Saurabh to activate my account. Anyone know of a way to contact him besides his website contact forms, Twitter and gmail address ? In a few hours time it will be 48 hours of waiting. I have been told the project is still alive.

Most of my clients don't use their joomla site. They pay me to add updates. they find it difficult to understand. Joomla developers have to take into consideration that most of the site owners are businessmen with no computer literacy and they…

A better text editor would be great especially for tutorial and guide writing. Some other ways to facilitate just better organization and writing of the above.

There has been work done on the code sniffer rules for the coding standards of Joomla. Would be nice to finalize this one so that everyone can use that.

What do you want to know?

I have a little bit of time on my hands and I would love to contribute to the ATAAW community. So I am tossing my hat out into the crowd to be filled with suggestions. Maybe some research on a particular set of components or just a quick guide on how to do things.I'm getting rusty so this would be a great way for me to do something. Any takers? Suggestions?See More

I custom design club templates :) Like Ivo I use them as a starting point. I use 3 clubs on a regular basis. I would say I do that for the same reason I use Joomla. If I started from scratch for a site or template, sure I could have complete control…

Considering that doing it yourself can cost you hours, days, or even weeks or considering that it might cost few hundred to thousand bucks or more to have it done by someone else, $35 bucks is very reasonable, no? I think we sometimes get caught up…

Yannick and Daniel - that's really good policy. That rewards contributors and makes certain everyone chips something in, even if it's payment, to make it all work. There is another profession, Daniel, that some feel the service should…

Need Joomla SEF? Get your wallet.

I started today creating a new website. As one of my first steps in setting it up, I would grab sh404sef and install it. But I was sad to see that sh404sef had been passed off to a commercial site and now was a $35 subscription based component. Yes I know artio has a free version but I have never really enjoyed their component. This got me noticing other formerly free items that were now commercial content. Of course they are still GPL but thats really not the point.

You are *not* a female. I know that to be a fact!

Thanks, Nate, for joining in. You are a (young) old timer with lots of sage advice to offer and I hope you share your insights and experience with others. Your experience with using Joomla! with government Web sites, will be helpful to others. Sometimes, it's difficult to explain how free software is a good solution to government agencies and knowing others who have successfully implemented solutions is helpful. Looking forward to learning more from you!
