it's the short version of $failed = $failed | (strstr(urldecode($key), '<') !== false); I really don't like the short version, I think it doesn't helps to understands what's going on.

some months ago I found http://mygengo.com/string/ and I think this could be a good tool for creating language files. My first test were not so successfully, but it is beta and I think in the meantime they made some progress.

Brian: which dates did you enter? I'm not finding anything less than $1150. Or is there some airport near Frankfort that people connect to via train? In any event, not complaining. And yeah, it was quicker for me to attend the original…

Having organized conferences myself, I have to say this: it's much easier to organize one in your own city rather than try to do one elsewhere. While I'm sure there's probably a Joomla user somewhere in Dubai, it's not going to…

Pre-Event-Tasks International Joomla Conference in Germany

I have made me some thoughts about the event, mainly about the days before. Jeremy has is written in the brainstorming topic that it would be perfect, if we have pre-event-programm. Here what I can offer:

I am available the two/tree days before, so people can fly to Bruessels Airport and come to my home city… Continue

Open Letter International Joomla Conference

Open Letter and invitation for participation and support for an International Joomla Conference to OpenSourceMatters, The Project, The Leadership, Production and Community Team, any Joomla! working group and any community member.

It started as a simple offer for a place and date and the response was amazing. Many people liked the idea of meeting people in person on an international basis. We all know, have heard about or have participated and know what fun and great… Continue

International Joomla! Day/Conference/Meeting in Germany 30. May - 1.June

Some weeks ago we have finished our Joomla!Day here in Germany. One of our attendees gave me the name of a cheap and good location for our next Joomla!day. I have booked the location 2 days later, because it is so cheap that booking can't be a mistake. I'd like to offer this location for an "International Joomla! Day/Conference/Meeting".

Where it is?

It is near Wiesbaden/Frankfurt with good public transport possibilities and via Frankfurt with good flight connections… Continue

Hi Robert!

We want to organize a developers event, primarily for Norwegians/Scandinavians, to kind of try to create a community to begin with. Many people use Joomla, but not many of these do ever meet or even collaborate.

As for event contents, we want to divide the event into two parallel sessions. One that focuses on development primarily, and code, code, code :) That's why we have invited the Mathias and Johan from Nooku/Joomlatools to come north to our event.

In the other session we want to focus on stuff interesting to your average Joomla Users/Administrators (i.e. non-geeky people), to give them inspiration, ideas on new opportunities, whats happening in Joomla development, new/upcoming extensions, show and tell and stuff like that. Possibly also non-Joomla stuff that is more generally webrelated, like website analysis, user experience, seo, etc.

So first and foremost a social event, but hopefully also an event that everyone can leave feeling they have learned something new.

They way I see it, we will have to move it forward a bit, possibly earlier May or late April. We have not booked a venue or sent out invitations yet, so that's no problem for us. The reason why we chose late May, is because early and mid May is crammed with holidays here in Norway. Liberation day, Workers day, Acsencion day, National Day, and whatnot. April might be a bit early for us too, and June feels too close to summer vacations. So right now it seems that late April, early or mid May might be our best fit.

It's great having you here, Robert. Lots of good energy coming out of the Joomla! Day Germany - good to see, we could use some positive vibes! It's also been nice to see so many "old timers" still using Joomla! and doing some very cool things.
