redSHOP - E-conomic integration

As we get closer to the final release of redSHOP we have been seeking oportunities of integrations and for an ecommerce/webshop system what lies nearer then making an integration to an accounting system like E-conomic.

E-conomic is originally a Danish based company (like ourselfes) but has also gone out on the global scale (read more on e-conomic.com) and so we decided this would be a good partner to bring in for the first accounting system integration for redSHOP - Of cause us actually using e-conomic allready for all of our bookkeeping and having the accountant having his own indepedant access to our books online wasnt exactly a bad thing either ;)

However when you look on systems like some of the hosted webshop solutions here in Denmark you will find that they charge for the integration too, beyond the regular fees for the subscription to e-conomic you would also pay atleast the same per month for using the integration - so we negotiated a partnership with E-conomic ensuring that we now put in the e-conomic integration into the redSHOP basic package without any additional costs for the users. This means that the basic redSHOP that will be part of the normal basic 1 year subscription downloads (with support, documentation and videoguides) at redCOMPONENT will offer an integrated accounting system solution that is pretty darn cheap and super nice to work with if you ask me - and as we use it in our business on a daily basis i reckon that should have some leverage :)

Thats all for this little appetizer on some of the features coming in redSHOP but as we get closer to launch i will be posting more bits of info - stay tuned :)

Ronni,

I'm wondering if you are interested in presenting your work during J and Beyond (http://jandbeyond.org) either as a speaker or with a real stand. It would be great if you contacted me about it.

Cheers

Alex
