I like the Celtic knot.
It is a 9 knot, perhaps a 6 knot would provide a somewhat less dense logo while retaining the 4 colour requirement. Alternatively the representation of the threads could be narrower which might provide the same effect.

It has been an interesting and informative exercise. Next product will be some sample pages for documentation of 1.6 and some guidance on how to build them.
Is this the kind of thing you have in mind? The link to Talk pages does not work because of the context. If moved to a normal wiki page it will work.
It is an interesting exercise for me in thinking about the 1.6 Manual.

Began computing in 1954 in UK and have seen valves, FORTRAN, PL/1 come and go. Was involved in the development of relational db - both academically and DB2 - but recently have mostly been involved as a wise (?) old (definitely) man giving guidance with others doing the work. And - don't tell my wife - I am missing the work!
