Thanks Herman - yes, we've definitely heard on this especially when it comes to the "Official" label. We'll aim to get answers on this ASAP. We're also working on making the TM rules more user-friendly. That page is…

Yes, it's something that's been floating around for quite a while now. Barrie even gave me some advice on this last summer (similar to your thoughts). I believe it hadn't been made public before now because Pearson wanting to handle…

Hi Amy Awkward situation for me here. I accepted an offer to write one of these books in summer 2009 and then in early 2010 accepted a role on OSM. That put me in an awkward situation and meant I needed to recuse myself from any OSM discussions…

Me and Robert put that form up a few weeks ago and it now goes to Google Docs which is great. Previously the form disappeared into the bowels of CiviCRM (the black hole for data). We'll see if we can retrieve anything useful from it.

Hi Martin This might be one good place to start: http://twitter.com/joomla/joomla-days I tried to collect every Joomla Day that was on Twitter. I'll ask if we have any OSM records on this.

Hi All This is a really great initiative. If you need anything from OSM while Robert is away, feel free to ping me. Hi Nick My general feeling in this situation is that we should eat our own dog food. If we're telling people Joomla is the…

Hi Martin I'm sure Robert would be willing to help get this done in his role as Events team lead. If you don't have his contact details, feel free to send me a message here and I'll put the two of you in touch.

Even Drupal people have a laugh about this ... something in Builtwith's system leads it to think that just about every site is built with Drupal. It's a known bug.

A very good idea Herman. I don't have a book out, but if needed we can throw in some free subscriptions to our Joomla classes http://OSTraining.com. That's pretty much everything people need to know to get started and no shipping needed…

Hey Robert, thanks for the compliment. These sites should be on the shortlist for future case studies. Tesco is pretty new and we should add Gorillaz site to the list too.

That would be great Steve. I agree, what you're doing with the quick overviews really gets them in the public eye as soon as you discover them and shouldn't stop. Hope I didn't come across that way. Thanks again.

Nice, that works well. In that case we'll limit ourselves to the discovery side of things .... just digging up and briefly mention interesting Joomla sites. I have some leads for in-depth interviews that I can send over.

Case Studies of Successful Joomla Websites

Earlier this month I went to the CMS Expo in Chicago and had the chance to talk with a lot of Joomla business people from across North America.

One thing that people told me frequently was that they wanted to see more examples of Joomla success stories that they could show to potential clients when bidding for projects.

Better Communication With the Joomla Community

Some of you have, perhaps ... maybe ... just a little ... just one or twice ... had a teensy, weensy, tiny, quiet moan about the communication coming from the Joomla team.

Time to improve on both sides:

  • Better communication from the Joomla team

  • More constructive ideas from you guys

With your help, we'll design and implement a better and most consistent structure for all major decisions made by the Joomla team.

There are two questions we…

Steve - Thanks for joining in. In case there might be someone who doesn't know you (or hasn't seen a picture of your beautiful daughter) there is a place to introduce yourself. Lots of good discussions going on. A place to add RSS feeds, events, photos, nice to have you here. You are an important part of Joomla!.
