Personally I think the rapid increase of the importance of mobile devices means that mobile compatibility is about to become a basic requirement. That I think means 1.6 should have a mobile template built in.

Im keen to explore getting the admin more accessible via iphone etc. I know Admin Praise has mobile sensing but would be great if that happened out of the box.

Technically you could create a mobile theme, I'm working on one for my company now and its easy - unless your using SOBI or Virtual Mart. Once your theme is built, pick up one of the auto detect plugins(I'm using mobilenbot) and your done.…

I have been using Joomla since the days of the mambo fork. I am an Linux & Open Source activist. All the tools I use are Open Source GIMP, Inkscape, Kompozer, Scribus, Joomla, K2 etc. The OS on all PC's is Centos 5.4. I love the blues & a fan of SRV.
