Akeeba Backup v 3.0 RC1 is 100% Joomla! 1.6 Ready

Ladies and Gentleman, start your engines! Time to get those extensions ready for Joomla! 1.6. Here is a discussion on 1.6 changes and an invitation by Andrew Eddie to get those questions asked!

Congratulations to Nicholas Dionysopoulos for leading the pack and to all of you Akeeba Backup users who now know that, regardless of what happens, you can recover because you will have a good backup and restore strategy and process in place!

I was just thinking about whether Akeeba was going to be ready for 1.6, and "low and behold" it's ready.
One of the best "must have" extensions for any Joomla! website, and now the 1.6Beta testers can have something "to fall back on".

I couldn't get the admin. module to display. Had problems finding the module in the backend, and module didn't show up in the admin area for modules. Tried adding the Akeeba admin. module with Joomla! "add" feature, but it gave me some "weird" code on the control panel when I added it that way. Sure it's something minor, but Akeeba worked in backing up 1.6Beta1 w/0 any problems!
