ATAAW Network, Brand Essence Exercise — in search of Mantra

Hi guys and girls.

With a view to clearly defining our ecosystem, I'd appreciate if you took the time to fill in this form

ATAAW Brand Essence — Mantra Form (please fill me out).

The philosophy of this process is indelibly linked to People: Purpose and Process; while at the same time looking for the personality of this group.

We know there is a significant — and healthy — difference between J.org forums and our little world here. Put your thoughts into words, have your say about what's great, what's not and what can improve by taking 20 minutes to answer the questions.

The end result or Mantra, which will be published here, should reflect the appeal, character, purpose, nature and differences of ATAAW as a network of professionals. Ideally, the brand essence or mantra will come down to two words (sometimes two is impossible but the fewer the clearer the group's aims).

Thank you in advance for participating.

Pete :)

Dude - that was fun! Only with free software projects are you able to access someone with professional skills like you have -- and use it for the good of the group. Thank you, Pete, very much!

Now, we need to get the world out and try to get as many people to participate as possible.

I would really like to see the Joomla! Leadership Team and OSM also help give us feedback http://tinyurl.com/ATAAWSurvey -- part of the goal has been to bring the community closer together -- and having their feedback right now would be ideal.

I hope I didn't sound too corny in my answers... will we be graded on this exercise? If so I cheated off Amy's notes!

Dude. That was my to do list! Of course, turning my workload into the ATAAW job doesn't sound too bad.

Andrew Eddie - bless his heart - filled out the survey and gave it to me. I'm going to post it later so no one steals his answers. I liked his comments, he was very honest and helpful - but that's Andrew. Later, this week, I'll post it.

@Amy "I would really like to see the Joomla! Leadership Team and OSM also help give us feedback"

You sound like true fan looking up to her heroes.

Really don't see why is this necessary. No need to call upon them, no need to even mention them, most of them aren't even members. You would like to get them define our mission or what is the purpose of this?

@ Amy, the Joomla leadership had the opportunity to ponder and digest this very same process when I was a core team member. This is where "All Together" came from. This time the process is being applied for our network group of professionals. Just to reiterate, we are delving into our own identity and searching for our own mantra and how we fit as community members. How Joomla.org operates is not under discussion.

Those who have decided they have no intention of ever working cooperatively with the Joomla! project should leave and allow those of us who earn our living using their software to form our professional developer and Web site builder network that RELIES ON their work.

I am DONE wasting time on this childish attitude. I can't help everyone get over their individual problems. We don't have to all like one another, but we DO have to cooperate.

I am so angry right now, I can't see right.

Don't know if are talking about 2 different things, but if anyone is to shape mantra of this site/network it is it's members and I simply see no point in calling outsiders to do it for us, doesn't matter who/what they are.

People you mention are totally not an issue here. You just can't find your own identity by asking others what they think it should be and it seems totally strange that you would think otherwise.

They are NOT outsiders.
Klas Comment by Klas on February 8, 2010 at 9:14am
How come that someone that is not a member is not outsider to this site or potential future club?

This is getting stranger and stranger. /me totally puzzled
