I agree that the article is a bit inflamatory regarding Joomla. But he did make some good points in his "5 Most Common Mistakes" and "What to Look for in a CMS". I'm glad to see Joomla 1.6 and Malajo addressing some of these issues!

Inflamatory, or just WRONG? I agree that Joomla! isn't perfect, but statements like "You've got to spend a lot of money" to get it to work just prove that the editor is biased... and sucks at hiding it.

Adding iWeb to "CMS to watch"? Why not add Dreamweaver, or Frontpage while we're at it?

And since when is Magento anything other than an e-commerce solution? Don't even get me started on Radiant CMS, the designer I work with keeps complaining that "Joomla is so much easier to use".

Gotta love the first (and all others) comment though. Well perhaps it's his personal opinion. I say there is nothing wrong with Joomla. In fact as a newbie with no background, I am glad I chose Joomla. Open-minded people with burning passion to continuously improve whatever stuffs we had or have. From business models, revolutionary extensions & template frameworks, Nooku and list goes on.

No worries,I am quite sure it's his loss.

@ssnobben I wouldn't worry to much about the mkse guy. Been watching him for a while and it clearly shows that he is a person of average intelligence (but he thinks he's a smart guy) that doesn't really have a clue.

The information that he spreads about Joomla! can in the most friendly way only be classified as "retarded". Just look at his comments and arguments that he tries to come up with. It's complete nonsense from the viewpoint of people who actually know Joomla!.

Retards like that shouldn't be argued with. Just ignore them and work on making Joomla!'s strengths more known.

Thanks Martin and other comments. I agree about the mkse Swedish guy but it sure have its impact of how Joomla is perceived in Sweden especially his continuously attacks about Joomla being very insecure CMS.

The same goes with this nonsense CMS gury guys even that this article is 2 years and will be 3 years next year. Its still there and can be read by novel users and that creates an image of Joomla it self.

So we have to keep fighting against those guys misleading people with this kind of shit info and that doesnt know about Joomla at all.

Joomla! Rocks!

@ssnobben Very true! Working on a major information campaign for Joomla! in Sweden. First big step: http://www.joomlanight.se :-)
