Developers call for action: Idea storm for improving Joomla development

There has been some good discussion going on here http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=467238 at the end I've asked for a development coordinator to open up a discussion like Ryan did on some other topics here http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=306&t=467835&p=1960300 and here http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=381&t=466685&p=1960312 (open and constructive discussions)

Chris has already done a great post here and I hope he can move that to that new discussion too as a starter http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=1960582#p1960582

Andrew opened a topic (not sure if he holds an official position anymore but at least it's open)

@Arno, what's your feelings now, given your jfoobar post?

It's up to the rest of the community now Pete my words bag is empty after this post.

There is a group very validly concerned and great people who have raised their concerns, asked questions and gave feedback in a constructive way but if there aren't going to be more people questioning the decisions made by OSM and "leadership" and be critical in a good way they will just keep on acting like they do.

The project I have helped founded for solid reasons and concerns and with a clear stance for the future in certain important area's is being sold by people who have lost touch with the greatest part of the project, the community.

Joomla! is not the open and free community driven project anymore that I had envisioned and for which I have worked and contributed to, it sucks but it's true
