Joomla! Community Magazine: All Together, As A Whole

January 2010 will not only usher in a new year, but also a stronger, more active Joomla! community collaborating All Together, As A Whole to bring back the Joomla! Community Magazine. This partnership between the broader community and the Joomla! project is the first of what will be many initiatives designed to make it easier for people who want to contribute to Joomla! and have fun in the process.

Mike Moloney, Joomla! Community Magazine Chief Editor and Paul Orwig, Joomla! Community Webmaster, will lead a team of talented community writers as they (electronically) travel the world, following up on leads, rumors, and wild goose chases, to identify the most promising Joomla! headlines for each monthly issue.

Needless to say, the magazine won't write itself, talented and creative writers are needed to bring these stories to life. Special thanks to Chris Szabo, Dex Randall, Faisal Qureshi, Jen Kramer, and Nicole Rhoads who have agreed to serve as primary members of the writing team.

In addition, a deep list of talented community members will contribute articles on a bi-monthly basis. Those writers include Mark W. Bender, Ron Chatman, Rob Clayburn, Brett Hooker, Wilco Jansen, Jonathan Lackey, lafrance , Laura, Ro McKernan, Júlio Pontes , Tim Stiffler-Dean, Amy Stephen, Brian Teeman, and Arlen Walker

So exciting!

Has January 2010 been designated as a relaunch date? Have there been any other timeline discussions I may have missed?

I remember I once saw the magazine about 2 years ago
It was cool :) It will be great to see it coming back to life!

Nicole - Initially, the group was talking about December for a first publication, and then there was a general agreement to kick off the new year with the magazine. Of course, if your team decides differently, that's not an issue.
