A lot of talented and passionate people have been working hard for a long time on a
special gift that will be delivered on July 1 to the Joomla! community. That
gift is the new Joomla! Community Magazine.
The JCM is a community driven project which provides resources, reviews, news and opinion on
the Joomla! world, with an emphasis on all of the positive things happening in
the Joomla! project and its community. The JCM team will be working hard to
include articles in every monthly issue which will inform you, educate you,
challenge you, inspire you, and celebrate all the positive things which are
taking place with people using Joomla! and in the Joomla! community.
Recurring topics appeal to a variety of users
There are a variety of recurring topics in every Joomla! Community Magazineissue, which will focus on many different aspects of Joomla! and the community:
Feature articles: Any subject of general interest to the Joomla! community which does not fit more naturally into the other topics.
Extensions and Services Evaluations: In depth reviews & comparisons of GPL extensions, frameworks, and services.
Website Case Studies: In depth reviews/analysis of Joomla! websites.
Leadership connections: Articles from members of different Joomla! leadership teams.
Joomla! events/JUGs: Reports on upcoming or recently completed Joomla! events, or on Joomla! User Groups.
Designer's studio: Subjects of interest to website designers.
Developer's workbench: Subjects of interest to website developers.
Administrator's toolkit: Subjects of interest to website administrators.
Joomla! in the news/media: Summary/compilation of links to recent Joomla! related content from news and media sources.
Did you know...?: Learning more about using features or a combination of features of Joomla! and Joomla! extensions in order to innovate.
Opportunity for all community members to contribute
The Joomla! Community Magazine team encourages all members of the Joomla! community to
contribute articles. Everyone has a story to tell, and the JCM wants to provide
a platform for everyone to hear yours! Extensive guides and tutorials are
available to help prospective new authors to learn what type of content the JCM
is looking for.
So beginning July 1, please be sure to visit the Joomla! Community Magazine to discover more
about Joomla! and its community. Then, consider contributing an article for an
upcoming issue and sharing what your knowledge and experience with the rest of
the Joomla! community!
